| Ok, I know.. My last bio was a lil’ out of date!! So that’s why I provide you all with a freshly written update of my life and activities in the music-scene…
If you don’t have any idea who the heck Jordy Lishious is, don’t worry, I’ll introduce myself in a few lines of text.
I started to develop my musical interest when I was about 50 cm. It fascinated me to hear sounds and melodies and that those sounds and melodies actually could change your mood! (I´d rather not tell you what I loved to listen to at young age, ´cause probably nobody would take me serious now) Anyway, from one thing comes another, so in the years that followed I bought my music in the local record store and started editing tracks on my PC en started mixing on my High-Tech DJ-Equipment.. When I was about 1.60 cm I started playing in some local clubs and the love of music grew along with my hair and height. A few inches later I began to work at Freaky Records in Eindhoven where I was on top of new releases and know-abouts in the scene! Absolutely great! There I also met Boy Lamoen, my production-partner-in-crime… May 2006, Ton T.B. and Boy Lamoen started a new agency called Globaltwist Music. They asked me to join the club together with Cor Fijneman, Montana, Mark Norman, Alex Romano and more and I took the risk of becoming an official full-time music-addict, including making music and spinning record all over! (Actually I did that already, but now on a professional basis. Hmmm, sounds a bit Slick!)
We started producing in the brand new Green Room Studio at the Globaltwist Office in Veenendaal and things went upwards from then. My first Jordy Lishious “Raw / Slick!” release saw the light at former ID&T record-boss Dick de Groot’s Big and Dirty Label and was supported by Benjamin Bates, Steve Angello, Erick Morillo, Marco V, Dave Spoon, Lewis Dene, Martijn Ten Velden, Tom Novy, Erick E, and more.. It also reached the official Dance Chart in Holland at #3. Now it has been signed to the well-known Ministry Of Sounds label in the UK and will have a release soon, including a video!
Together with Boy Lamoen and Nik van Eijk we started a side-project as JayMen, and we scored a nice lil’ bomb with “Ooh La Lishious”, which has reached the #18th place in the official Dutch Top 40. At this point that record has been signed to more than 12 labels around the globe and we did some remixes for DJ Antoine and S.T.F.U. We did some more remixing for other artists like Don Diablo and Benjamin Bates. Bates asked me to remix his newest single “On My Feet”, which is the official Dance 4 Life theme this year.
